It was a pleasure to work together with Mr. Berk on designing my 110 sqm flat in Nanjing. Mr. Berk put a lot of effort into accompanying me to the building material markets in Shanghai and Nanjing, choosing the right building materials and furniture and trusting him to supervise the interior decoration work. I was especially impressed by Mr. Berk’s ability to integrate his customers’ wishes into his design pattern without sacrificing neither the customer’s wishes nor his own design principles. This led to a fruitful dialogue between me and Mr. Berk. The result was an unparalleled flat in a contemporary South East Asian style which was featured in different Chinese and overseas design magazines and television broadcasting.
